Arrest Of Frontier Airlines Pilot Disrupts Houston To Dallas Flight

A Frontier Airlines flight from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Dallas was abruptly canceled on Saturday after the pilot, Seymour Walker, 45, was arrested on board. The incident took place around 4 p.m. just as passengers were preparing for departure. Walker was apprehended by Houston police on charges of assault involving family violence, according to CBS News.

Passengers were in the process of boarding Flight 3195 when the arrest occurred. After ensuring all passengers had deplaned, Texas law enforcement officials boarded the aircraft and took Walker into custody without incident.

Frontier Airlines issued a statement confirming the disruption. “The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled,” the airline said.

To accommodate the disrupted travel plans, Frontier Airlines offered affected passengers several options: a full refund, a credit for future travel, or a seat on the next available flight.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it would be investigating the incident. “Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues,” the FAA stated.
