Border Czar Homan Focuses On Illegal Worksites

Tom Homan, newly appointed as President Donald Trump’s “border czar,” announced a renewed focus on workplace raids to address illegal immigration and trafficking. Homan shared his plans during a Monday interview.

Highlighting the connection between illegal employment and trafficking, Homan said, “Worksites are where we find many victims of forced labor and sex trafficking.” The raids aim to protect victims while cracking down on illegal practices.

Homan also accused the Biden administration of allowing cartels to exploit the border. He alleged that over 300,000 smuggled children remain unaccounted for due to lax enforcement policies.

He pledged to prioritize deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records, even in sanctuary cities. “Sanctuary policies won’t shield anyone from enforcement,” Homan warned, vowing to increase ICE resources in uncooperative jurisdictions.

Critics argue that workplace raids could harm vulnerable populations, but Homan defended the policy as essential to disrupting trafficking networks. He stated that protecting victims remains a key goal of enforcement efforts.

Trump’s selection of Homan reflects a return to strong immigration policies, with a focus on dismantling criminal operations and restoring order at the border.
