Border Patrol Agent Calls Biden Administration’s Border Policies ‘Dangerous’

A Border Patrol agent has accused the Biden-Harris administration of transforming the Border Patrol into a “migrant concierge service” rather than focusing on border security. Zachary Apotheker, who joined the Border Patrol in 2020, is frustrated with what he sees as a failure to address critical security issues.

Under the Biden administration, more than 8 million migrants have entered the U.S. from the southern border. Apotheker is particularly concerned about the influx of individuals from dangerous groups, such as the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang. He believes that the shift in focus has led to a lack of proper security measures.

Apotheker highlighted problems with the documentation of unaccompanied migrant children, noting that many lack essential biometric information. There is also a significant backlog in the immigration system, with 291,000 children released without court dates and 32,000 missing their hearings.

In his remarks, Apotheker expressed discontent with how the current policies affect American citizens. He stated, “I’m an apolitical person and I just want to do my job and protect this country.” His concerns include the allocation of resources to migrants that American citizens do not receive and the rise in migrant-related crimes.

Apotheker is willing to challenge his career to address what he views as serious mismanagement of border policies. The White House and Border Patrol have not yet responded to his criticisms.
