Conservative Influencer Calls For Harley-Davidson Boycott Over ‘Woke’ Policies

Conservative influencer Robby Starbuck has launched a boycott campaign against Harley-Davidson, accusing the company of adopting “woke” policies that alienate its traditional biker customer base. Starbuck, with over half a million followers on X, criticized Harley-Davidson for its DEI training, LGBT boot camp, and sponsorship of Pride events. He claims these initiatives do not reflect the values of the brand’s core customers.

Harley-Davidson’s CEO Jochen Zeitz has promoted ESG and DEI policies, aiming to make the company more inclusive and environmentally responsible. This includes a goal to transition all motorcycles to electric by 2030. Starbuck argues that these policies are a betrayal of the brand’s heritage, suggesting they push an agenda contrary to the beliefs of many Harley riders.

Starbuck’s campaign is part of a broader conservative backlash against companies perceived to be adopting progressive policies. He previously led successful boycotts against John Deere and Tractor Supply. The call for a Harley-Davidson boycott has gained traction, drawing attention to the ongoing debate over corporate engagement in social issues.

Harley-Davidson has not yet responded to the boycott call. The company’s efforts to promote DEI and ESG policies are part of a wider trend in corporate America. However, the backlash from conservative customers highlights the challenges of balancing social responsibility with maintaining brand loyalty.
