Dangerous Swatting Operations Rattle Conservative Influencers In US

Conservative media personalities across the U.S. have found themselves in the crosshairs of a swatting epidemic this week. Fake emergency calls have sent police scrambling to homes, creating risky standoffs. FBI Director Kash Patel is mobilizing resources alongside local law enforcement to stamp out this wave of hoaxes.

The Post Millennial captured Patel’s urgency, quoting him as saying, “This isn’t about politics — weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers.” His pledge on March 14 came as reports piled up, hitting a nerve with conservative audiences.

Nick Sortor, a journalist with a hefty online following, didn’t just dodge a swatting attempt at his own place — his family took a hit too. The Gateway Pundit reported, “Several conservative figures including Nick Sortor, Gunther Eagleman, and Shawn Farash have been swatted over the last couple of days.” A chilling detail emerged: a swatter emailed Sortor’s sister, branding him a “Nazi” before targeting his dad with a violent lie.

Chase Geiser, known from InfoWars, couldn’t catch a break. The Daily Mail stated, “Infowars host Chase Geiser posted video of police putting him in handcuffs after a person called 911 pretending to be the media personality.” Two swatting calls in 12 hours, the second striking before 2 a.m. on March 14, kept him on edge.

Joe Pags, a radio mainstay for conservatives, kicked off the week with a jolt. The Daily Mail noted, “Conservative radio host Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo revealed video footage of a man outside his home with a rifle,” after a false alarm on March 12. He’s leaning on Patel to dig into the pattern.

Gunther Eagleman and his brother Mike faced their own ordeals. The Post Millennial wrote, “Gunther Eagleman said he was also the victim of a swatting attack,” tied to a bogus “hostage situation.” The Gateway Pundit added, “Catturd and Gunther’s brother Mike were also swatted this morning.”

Shawn Farash, a Trump mimic, and “Catturd,” now swatted four times, also got swept up. The Daily Mail cited an FBI official saying at least 10 incidents rocked March 13.
