Are you done with Covid-19? So are Governors, just not New York Governor Kathy Hochul and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Otherwise, the rest of the country is past the pandemic and ready to move on with their lives. If politicians would come together and make that happen, we would all be better for it. But that’s the government for you. If you want a good representation of how the government works, go to the Division of Motor Vehicles. They’re great, trust me.
Well, more Governors than expected are calling it quits on the pandemic, and Colorado Governor Jared Polis said, “Everybody has more than enough opportunity to get vaccinated. Hopefully, it’s been at your pharmacy, your grocery store, a bus near you, or at big events. At this point, if you haven’t been vaccinated, it’s your darn fault.”
The best part? Polis is a Democrat.
If you don’t win the lottery, it’s your fault that you should have bought a ticket.
Polis continued, “I didn’t hesitate to issue a statewide mask mandate in the emergency. The emergency is over. You know, state public health officials don’t get to tell people what to wear; that’s not their job.”
Thank God someone with authority said it.
“Public health officials would advise wearing a mask at all times because it reduces flu and other airborne illnesses. But you don’t require that. You don’t tell people what to wear. It’s your choice if you haven’t been immunized, and that is something I respect. But when you’re in the hospital with COVID, it’s your fault.”
That’s the same attitude every elected leader should have had from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can already hear the news saying, “Democrat Governor and Trump supporter Jared Polis ends the Covid-19 pandemic placing millions in jeopardy.” CNN can place the credit on this article when they steal that line.
And, before the leftist media tore into Polis for being an anti-vaxxer, he also said, “At this point, I believe it’s almost as if they made a conscious decision not to be vaccinated. I continue to urge anyone who hasn’t been immunized to get vaccinated. And for those who are, remember to get a booster shot every six months. The data indicate that it is significant, and it is very likely that it is even more so with the omicron variant.”
It is getting ridiculous. If you are concerned about COVID-19, wear a mask and get the COVID-19 vaccine. If you aren’t, then don’t. Welcome to freedom. Sometimes it will hurt your feelings, but if you don’t stand up for other people’s freedoms, then they won’t stand up for yours when the time comes.
