Home Depot Co-Founder, A Republican, Plans Pledge Drive For Democrat Manchin

There was once a time when Democrats and Republicans could work together and guide the United States in a promising direction to the citizens. Most times, there wasn’t a change in anyone’s life, even when a politician was elected.

Joe Manchin (D-WV) may be the key to unlocking the bi-partisan power that America holds. His pushback on President Joe Biden’s administration has shown that there’s still hope for the Democrat party, and now Home Depot has gotten involved.

Co-founder of Home Depot and Republican donor Ken Langone is hosting a fundraiser for Manchin. Langone said, “I don’t see leadership anyplace in this country. Thank God for Joe Manchin, by the way, the guy’s got guts and courage. He’s a Democrat, and I’m a Republican. I’m going to have one of the biggest fundraisers I’ve ever had for him. He’s special.”

Welcome to the Independent takeover of the government. Independents are an essential demographic, and there’s less support for one particular political party. They all seem to be full of garbage nowadays.

According to Spectrum News 1 in North Carolina, registered independents rose from 22% in 2008 to 33%. That’s a significant switch that isn’t going unnoticed by Republicans. Democrats are ignoring it, though. They’re continuing to push “woke” nonsense that nobody is going to vote for.

Manchin and fellow Democrats Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) were huge roadblocks for the passage of the $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill that Democrats pushed for and are heroes of the political class in the eyes of Republicans. They sealed much of their votes for their political career with that move. The bill was ultimately cut to $1.75 trillion, and many tax increases were taken out.

According to Open Secrets, Langone donated $534,600 to Republicans and $10,400 to Democrats in the 2020 election.
