House Lawmakers To Ask Secret Service To Reveal Who Accessed Biden Documents

After reportedly facing no cooperation from the Biden administration, House lawmakers are now focused on seeing if the Secret Service will assist them in finding out who exactly had access to the numerous classified documents discovered in Joe Biden’s Washington think tank office and Delaware residence.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) alleged Sunday the latest group of papers found by the FBI during a search Friday suggests the scandal may be more sinister than initially thought, especially given that Hunter Biden had been frequenting the residence as he struck business deals with communist China.

“This has all the pattern of an influence-peddling scheme, and it also has the makings of a potential coverup,” Comer said to Maria Bartiromo while appearing on Fox News. “… There’s a lot of connections with the CCP directly to both Hunter Biden, Hunter Biden’s Uncle Jim and Joe Biden.”

The Biden administration is not sharing any information about the classified documents, Just The News reports.

Comer said Sunday that it is “concerning” that the classified documents were present at various locations.

“Does anyone believe that those classified documents, when they left the vice president’s office, they just took them to multiple locations all over the East Coast?” he asked. “It has the appearance that someone would have taken them and moved them around. I mean, this is very concerning.”

The Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman announced that his committee would be submitting a records request to the Secret Service Monday for visitor logs from either of the aforementioned locations.

“Hopefully, the Secret Service is going to work with us. We’re requesting tomorrow formally any type of correspondence, any type of emails, any type of documentation that would help us determine who actually had access to those documents. And hopefully the Secret Service will work with us despite the fact that this White House is not,” Comer said.

Just The News pointed out last week that Hunter Biden reported his father’s Wilmington residence as his own home on numerous documents during a period in 2018-19 while he was a self-described drug addict and also worked out deals with a Chinese energy firm that included the gift of a large diamond and an interest-free loan of $5 million.

Comer suggested that significant new discoveries about these practices will soon come to light.

“Look, you know, we know a lot more about the diamond than I need to talk about right now,” he said. “You know, that diamond was given to Hunter at about the time these documents were being transported to different locations. It’s very concerning.”

“You know, two ways the Chinese tried to launder money into the United States are through the art world and through diamonds.”
