‘I Will Never Surrender’: Trump Stands Strong After Shooting At Golf Club

President Donald Trump has issued a firm statement following a second attempt on his life at his West Palm Beach, Florida, golf club. Trump assured his supporters, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!” He continued, “Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me. Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again.”

The shooter, armed with a semi-automatic rifle and a GoPro camera, targeted Trump. The Secret Service responded with gunfire, and the suspect fled the scene. Authorities later apprehended a suspect in nearby Martin County.

The FBI is investigating the incident as an attempted assassination of Trump. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed that both the agency and local authorities are looking into the details.

CNN reported that a semi-automatic rifle and a backpack were found at the scene, along with a GoPro camera, suggesting that the gunman may have planned to record the attack.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been briefed on the situation. The White House expressed relief that Trump is safe and assured that Biden and Harris will be kept informed.

Trump previously faced an attack in July during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He survived, although one person was killed and two others were injured. This earlier incident led to a review of security protocols and the resignation of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.
