Democrats are quiet about the $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill that shouldn’t be a proposition, to begin with. Several critical aspects of the bill are unconstitutional and downright wrong.
The bill would give illegal immigrants citizenship and force vehicle manufacturers to place breathalyzer devices in vehicles to determine the driver’s blood alcohol content, which is unconstitutional under the 4th amendment (unreasonable search and seizure).
Democrat Senators Manchin and Sinema are bucking the system, and nobody is quite sure how many other Democrats are with them. Some are refusing to comment, and others are supporting the bill. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who may be running the White House, is ecstatic about the bill and can’t wait for it to pass. She’s a millionaire, if not a billionaire, and doesn’t care how much the United States is in debt. She’ll be fine.
Maggie Hassan (D-NH) is holding out on her comment. With the 2022 midterm elections looming but still a year away, she and others feel the pressure to give in to her political party affiliation or go against it and do what she knows is right by voting against the bill. Many politicians will probably wait for the vote to show their cards and hopefully skate under the radar for reporting. Still, all eyes are going to be watching how they handle the situation.
Democrat leadership is in desperate need. Manchin and Sinema can’t be the only Democrats who want to get Biden out of the White House and go against his policies, bills, and executive orders. Democrats are the only ones who can bring back their party from this embarrassment because Vice President Kamala Harris sure isn’t doing it. Harris is in panic mode and won’t be seen for the next few months because she wants to do everything to save face and prime herself for the reality that Biden won’t make it through this term.
