Crime is rising. There’s no doubt about that. Police are doing what they can do to make sure that the streets are safe, but the fact remains, police departments are seeing an influx of officers quitting and being fired for refusing to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
Now what the federal government wants to do is provide education and counseling for those who are “vaccine-hesitant.”
At President Joe Biden’s CNN Town Hall, he said that first responders should be let go or stay at home if they refuse to get the Covid-19 vaccine. The available vaccines are still under emergency use authorization, and no mandate has been handed out by OSHA or the federal government for businesses to comply. At this point, it rests solely on the departments to mandate the vaccine if they want to.
Rochelle Walensky, Director of the CDC, said rollouts for education and counseling for workers who are hesitant to get the vaccines. There’s not much more information that could be given out than what’s already been given, and it seems that everyone has made up their mind on getting the Covid-19 vaccine. The fact that the government is pushing this vaccine before long-term effects are known is concerning.
Walensky says, “We’ve seen that these mandates are getting more and more people vaccinated.” That should have been the first warning sign that the administration did not want citizens to have a voice. They want everyone to obtain the vaccine, regardless of natural immunity, religious exemptions, or anything else.
She also said that the most disruptive thing that could happen to a workforce is a Covid-19 outbreak. That’s true, but Dr. Anthony Fauci has already said that herd immunity is what they’re striving for. That wasn’t reached on personal decision alone, which is when the government stepped in to push businesses and governmental organizations to force the Covid-19 vaccine. That’s also just as alarming. The estimate for herd immunity was 60%-70%. The United States is currently at 57.9%, according to Our World Data.
So, is there ever going to be a time that America is back to normal, or are they planning for a 100% vaccination rate? That will never happen, and taking away freedoms and liberty isn’t going to work, either. Americans will eventually become tired of the government telling them what to do.
Walensky also says that Covid-19 has been the leading cause of death among police officers, so getting the vaccine is extremely important. That doesn’t mean under any circumstances, the government can mandate it. Education and counseling aren’t going to convince anyone, and firing someone is immoral and takes away their ability to provide for their family.
The most annoying aspect of all of this is that no one is thinking about natural immunity. Hundreds of millions of people have gotten Covid-19 and survived, yet they’re not considered “immune” unless they get the Covid-19 vaccine that will still allow you to get the virus and pass it to others. It’s insulting to suggest that vaccine hesitancy is a problem when the real problem is the government.
