Joe Manchin ‘Slashed’ Biden’s Build Back Better Plan With ‘One Move’

President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill is dead, but that’s not new news. It’s also not new that Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has been destroying the Biden Administration because of the bill and because of their reaction to his opposition. The entire Democrat party is acting like none of their members have voices or thoughts of their own and have to jump on board the Biden train, but that train is derailing, and the fact is, everyone should get off of it.

The Build Back Better bill is so dead that Manchin asked what it was.

CNN’s Chief Congressional Correspondent Manu Raju tweeted:

Manchin has been as subtle as a shotgun about Build Back Better being done, and there’s a great possibility that he and Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-A) aren’t the only democrats who are against the bill. Otherwise, there would be a possibility that at least 3 Republicans would vote for Build Back Better to bring the majority “yes” vote that Democrats need to pass it. That’s not happening, though.

Manchin and Sinema are so done with the Democrats at this point that they voted against the filibuster as well. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was so confident that he could pass legislation to end the filibuster that he went ahead with the vote even with prior knowledge that Manchin and Sinema weren’t voting for it. Maybe he thought there would be some Republicans that would vote with him, or he wanted to embarrass Manchin and Sinema. Either way, it didn’t work.

Manchin gave a speech on the Senate floor, and the most remarkable statement he made should be taken by every elected leader and transcribed in their head when they decide they want to change something.

“The rule book means that the rules changes are done based on broad, bipartisan consensus, not imposed on the minority by raw majority power. No matter who is in power.”

That’s what the forefathers would have said and why the separation of powers is set up the way they are. As soon as Democrats end the filibuster, they can impose anything they want to, allowing them to stay in power indefinitely and take this country in a direction detrimental to the foundation that the United States was founded on.
