Kamala Harris Campaign Avoids Details On Immigration Amnesty Plan

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is under fire for refusing to offer details about her proposed amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants. Harris has long advocated for a path to citizenship for the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S., but her campaign has not clarified whether she would use executive action to achieve this.

At the Democrat National Convention, Harris reiterated her desire to offer illegal immigrants “an earned pathway to citizenship,” yet when asked by Axios about her specific plans, her campaign refused to provide an answer. Instead, the campaign highlighted her support for “Dreamers” and praised President Biden’s executive actions on immigration.

In her 2019 campaign, Harris promised to protect millions from deportation and grant citizenship to 2.1 million “Dreamers.” But as illegal immigration reaches record levels, many voters are questioning how she would address the ongoing crisis.

Polls show that Harris’ handling of immigration is a key concern for voters. As Biden’s appointed “border czar,” she has been criticized for failing to stem the flow of illegal crossings. A recent poll found that many voters blame her for the current border crisis, making immigration a central issue in her campaign.
