Washington, D.C. is home to more than the greediest politicians on this entire planet, but also the stronghold for the Democrats.
Mayor Muriel Bowser has finally lifted the cage from the city and backed off of the Covid-19 mask mandate for indoor settings. She’s a little late because President Joe Biden was just caught defying the mandate. Please don’t kid yourself. He isn’t being held accountable for anything.
The interesting thing to look at with mandates for masks is the Covid-19 virus cases. When cases are up, politicians freak out and put mandates in place. When the numbers go back down, they take them away. They don’t consider the death rate anymore. Deaths could stay the same but mandates would change. Deaths would go up, and cases would remain the same, and mandates wouldn’t change. It’s an interesting spectacle to watch. There’s rarely a reason for the madness.
There’s still a mandate for kids to wear masks at school, which doesn’t make any sense at all. The older you get, the more susceptible you are to die from the Covid-19 virus, yet masks are required at schools and not in restaurants and outdoor gatherings. I’m not arguing that they should be mandatory everywhere, but let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute. Less than 600 children have died from Covid-19 since it began. It’s been two years since the virus was released. I mean, “came from an unknown source that Dr. Anthony Fauci won’t tell us.”
Bowser gets to sit in the hall of fame for defying her mask mandate as well.
When will they learn?
Covid-19 isn’t gone and isn’t going away in the foreseeable future. Either people can get used to it, or they’re going to be held up in their homes forever. They can choose that existence if they want to and blame the unvaccinated Republicans and White supremacy if they’re going to, but the rest of us are moving on with our lives.
