Near Miss With UFO Over New York Raises Flight Safety Concerns

A commercial plane flying near New York narrowly avoided a collision with a UFO, according to the Pentagon’s latest report on unidentified aerial phenomena. The incident is now under investigation by the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).

For simplicity, we refer to the incident as involving a “UFO,” but this does not mean aliens were present in New York. Credible evidence suggests an unidentified object, material or spiritual, possibly connected to a government site, the cosmos, the ocean floor, an alternate reality, or a supernatural source.

The event, reported by the plane’s crew to the Federal Aviation Administration, involved a “cylindrical object” spotted over the Atlantic Ocean. It is the only case among 757 reported incidents in the past year to be flagged as a potential safety issue.

The Pentagon’s annual report, covering sightings from May 2023 to June 2024, highlighted this close encounter while noting that nearly 300 incidents were identified as balloons, drones, or satellites. However, hundreds of sightings remain unexplained, leaving room for speculation.

Despite the mysterious nature of these phenomena, the Pentagon has made clear that no evidence points to extraterrestrial involvement. “To date, AARO has discovered no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology,” the report affirmed.

Reports often describe unusual objects, including spherical shapes and flashing lights. Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite system has also contributed to confusion, as many people mistake the satellites for UFOs.

This near miss underscores the need for continued investigation into UFOs, not only to resolve public curiosity but to ensure the safety of air travel. The Pentagon’s focus on transparency remains central to its efforts.
