Hunterdon County Commissioner John Lanza called attention to the issue, emphasizing the risks posed by unauthorized drone use. “Drones are considered aircraft, and airspace is strictly regulated by the FAA,” Lanza said.
The sheriff’s office warned that unauthorized drone activity could threaten privacy, public safety, and national security. Residents were urged not to approach any drones that crash due to mechanical failure. Instead, they should alert local law enforcement immediately.
