PAC For Nikki Haley Voters Endorses Kamala Harris Amid Democratic Nomination Shakeup

In a surprising move, a PAC originally supporting Nikki Haley has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential race. This endorsement follows President Joe Biden’s announcement that he will not seek reelection and his endorsement of Harris.

Biden, in his announcement, stated, “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made.”

He urged Democrats to unite behind Harris to ensure a victory over Donald Trump.
The PAC, now renamed “Haley Voters for Harris,” expressed urgency in their support, describing Harris as a “tough prosecutor.” They also suggested potential moderate running mates, including Governors Josh Shapiro, Roy Cooper, and Andy Beshear.

Craig Snyder, the director of the PAC, told Newsweek that Harris is well-positioned to defeat Trump due to her centrist stance. He emphasized that Harris appeals to voters who are opposed to Trump’s return to the presidency.

Meanwhile, Nikki Haley continues to call for unity within the Republican Party. At the Republican National Convention, she stressed the importance of supporting Trump to preserve American strength and safety. Haley acknowledged occasional disagreements with Trump but underscored the common goal of countering Democratic policies.

Harris has garnered support from several high-profile Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, who praised her capabilities as a prosecutor and urged collective efforts to support Harris’s campaign. Clinton emphasized the importance of uniting to challenge Trump and his agenda.

These developments indicate a dynamic and potentially contentious race ahead, as both parties prepare for the upcoming election.
