In a frightening incident, a group of 20 illegal aliens attempted to board a school bus in California on Wednesday, but were stopped by quick-thinking parents. The incident occurred in the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District, which had experienced a similar event just the day before.
On Tuesday, three men attempted to stop a school bus on Highway 94, forcing the driver to navigate around them. The very next day, a group of 20 people tried to board another school bus at the same location. Thanks to the presence of parents at the bus stop, none of the illegal aliens were able to board the bus.
Superintendent Liz Bystedt responded swiftly, sending a letter to parents to inform them of new safety protocols. Going forward, buses will skip stops where migrants are present and head directly to the next stop on the route. Bystedt advised parents to stay vigilant and to follow the bus to the next stop if it bypasses their location.
One parent, Nicole Cardinale, shared her concerns after her 8-year-old son described the incident. He reported that the adults attempting to board the bus were carrying backpacks and appeared intent on gaining access to the bus.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident to determine if any criminal acts occurred. Kimberly King, representing the Sheriff’s Department, emphasized the importance of student safety and assured the community that they are working with the school district to keep students and the community safe.
These back-to-back incidents have raised concerns about the safety of school transportation in border areas, where illegal immigration can present unexpected challenges.
