Republicans Consider Impeachment of Biden’s Attorney General

As Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Biden Justice Department continue to ignore the rise in pro-abortion violence, Republican lawmakers are considering the possibility of impeaching Garland after the November midterms.

Garland, the Biden-appointed attorney general, has largely brushed off his duty to enforce federal law and prosecute pro-abortion extremists, even as incidents of violence and harassment continue to be directed against pro-life clinics and the Supreme Court’s six conservative justices.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who is set to chair the House Judiciary Committee if Republicans take back the House in November, didn’t rule out the future possibility of impeaching Garland when interviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

“That’ll be a decision that will be made by the entire conference,” Jordan said.

Since the Supreme Court’s intention to overturn Roe v. Wade was first made public in May, pro-abortion extremists have wreaked havoc across the country, targeting both pro-life clinics and the court’s conservative justices. Last week, Justice Brett Kavanaugh was run out of a D.C. restaurant by a mob of pro-choice protesters, only weeks after a potential assassin was arrested outside of the justice’s home with a handgun.

Pro-abortion activists have also been picketing outside of the conservative justices’ private homes for weeks on end. Despite the fact that federal law prohibits protesting outside a justice’s home with the intent to influence their work, the Justice Department has taken no action to prosecute activists or prevent further demonstrations.

In the interview, Jordan raised the possibility that the Biden administration was working with outside groups to direct and enable the protests.

“The key question we would like to find out, if in fact the American people put us in control, is was this similar to what happened with parents at school board meetings?” Jordan said. “In other words, was the Biden White House working with some outside left wing influence groups, and also then communicating that information to the DOJ?”

In October it was revealed that White House aides had been colluding with the National School Boards Association to prod the Biden Justice Department into investigating parents pushing against critical race theory and gender ideology.
