Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R) has expressed deep concerns about whether President Donald Trump’s potential return to the White House in 2024 would be accepted by the establishment. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Vance addressed the lengths to which powerful entities might go to prevent Trump from governing effectively, even if he wins the election.
Vance started by expressing confidence that Trump would win the election, either decisively on Election Night or through a closer outcome decided shortly thereafter. However, when Carlson asked if Vance thought the establishment would accept Trump’s return, Vance admitted, “It’s a good question,” suggesting there are concerns about what might happen.
The Ohio senator emphasized that while voter fraud was not a major factor in 2020, the real story was how ballot harvesting and Big Tech’s censorship of negative information about Joe Biden influenced the outcome. Vance believes these tactics will be used again in 2024 but feels confident that Trump will still emerge victorious.
Carlson raised the possibility that the military, now heavily influenced by establishment forces, might resist Trump’s leadership. Vance agreed, noting that “the biggest threat to democracy” comes from a bureaucracy that is out of touch with a significant portion of the American public.
Vance warned that the real battle would come after Trump’s victory, as establishment forces would likely attempt to block his policies. He suggested that Trump’s efforts to deport millions of illegal immigrants would be labeled as “fascism” by critics seeking to undermine his administration.
Despite these concerns, Vance remained optimistic, pointing out that Vice President Kamala Harris’ poor polling numbers in key states suggest Trump is in a strong position.
