Trump Condemns Bragg For ‘Election Interference’ In Mar-a-Lago Speech

During a speech following his arraignment, former President Donald Trump blasted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — arguing that his case “was brought only to interfere with the upcoming 2024 election and it should be dropped immediately.”

Trump spoke to a crowd of supporters from his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida, after flying back from New York. The former president flew into New York on Monday after a grand jury indicted him last week in a case that centers on a supposed “hush money” payment that was made by Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen almost seven years ago — well past the two-year statute of limitations on the crime.

During his speech on Tuesday evening, Trump pointed out that the case against him was blatant “election interference” — while also citing past election interference from the Democrats, including false claims that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation” during the 2020 election cycle.

“Our elections were like those of a third world country,” he argued.

“And now, this massive election interference at a scale never seen before in our country,” Trump continued. “Beginning with the radical left, George Soros-backed prosecutor Alvin Bragg of New York, who campaigned on the fact that he would ‘get President Trump, I gotta get him. I’m gonna get him.’ This is a guy campaigning. You want to get President Trump at any cost, and this before he knew anything about me. He didn’t know a thing about me. He was campaigning.”

The 2024 Republican presidential candidate went on to point out that most rational people who have examined the case against him — including pro-establishment, anti-Trump Republicans and “hardcore Democrats” — can see that the case should have never been brought before a grand jury.

“As it turns out, virtually everybody that has looked at this case, including RINOs, and even hardcore Democrats say there is no crime and that it should never have been brought. Never have been brought,” Trump explained. “Everybody, even people that aren’t big fans have said that, they said this is not the right thing to do. It’s an insult to our country as the world is already laughing at us.”

Trump then turned to President Joe Biden’s failed leadership — calling the botched Afghanistan withdrawal the “most embarrassing time in our country’s history,” condemning the “woke” indoctrination in the military and blasting Biden and the Democrats for the crumbling economy and crime crisis.

The former president also condemned “racist” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s investigation, then returned to blasting Bragg for his election interference and arguing that the case should be “dropped immediately.”

“This fake case was brought only to interfere with the upcoming 2024 election. And it should be dropped immediately,” Trump said regarding Bragg’s case.

Trump has pled not guilty to the case against him, which includes “34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree relating to alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels,” according to Breitbart News.
