The former president, who was found guilty on 34 counts of business fraud in late May, appeared unfazed by the verdict as he addressed the fired-up crowd.
Trump, known for his ability to command an audience’s attention, spoke for over an hour without the aid of notes or a teleprompter, a feat that many supporters noted as a stark contrast to President Joe Biden’s public speaking performances. The former president wasted no time in criticizing the “Biden crime family” and dismissing his own conviction as “bulls–t.”
“We’re going to knock off the Biden crime family. It’s a Biden family of crime, including the fact that they’ve weaponized the Department of Justice like has never happened in this country,” Trump declared. “We’re going to end the weak and failed regime of crooked Joe Biden, the worst president in the history of our country, and we’re going to make America great again.”
Trump also took aim at Biden’s age, mental fitness, and frequent trips to the beaches of Delaware, quipping, “This guy goes to the beach all the time. Somebody thinks he looks good in a bathing suit.
