Donald Trump, the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee, pledged to implement the death penalty for child and women sex traffickers if re-elected, speaking from the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday. Trump’s announcement came as he reiterated his commitment to border security and vowed to impose harsher penalties for human smugglers. “We will impose a 10-year minimum sentence for anyone guilty of human smuggling, a guaranteed life sentence for anyone guilty of child trafficking, and a death penalty for anyone guilty of child or woman sex trafficking,” Trump declared.
During the event, Trump was joined by families of victims who were allegedly killed by illegal immigrants. The mother of Rachel Morin, a Maryland woman who was murdered by an illegal immigrant, shared her pain, emphasizing the importance of strong border enforcement to prevent such tragedies.
