USAID Officials Locked Out As Trump’s DOGE Shuts Down Deep State Network

President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has successfully cut off the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), blocking top officials from access to internal systems and securing the agency’s headquarters. The move, part of Trump’s effort to dismantle Deep State control, has sidelined entrenched bureaucrats and frozen the agency’s financial operations.

DOGE personnel moved in and took control of USAID’s systems, locking more than 600 employees out overnight. Senior security officials attempted to prevent DOGE’s access to classified files but were immediately placed on leave. Those still inside the building were ordered out, and by morning, the main entrance was sealed off with yellow police tape, preventing any return to business as usual.

Musk confirmed on X that Trump had reviewed DOGE’s findings and supported shutting USAID down entirely. The White House issued a statement condemning the agency’s unchecked spending, citing billions funneled into global DEI programs, electric vehicle projects, and political initiatives disguised as aid. Officials argue that taxpayer money has been misused for years with little accountability.

Further scrutiny has revealed that USAID maintained financial ties to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy firm linked to Hunter Biden. Reports also indicate that the agency helped fund legal attacks on Trump, raising concerns that it was being used as a tool for political warfare rather than international assistance. Republicans have long criticized USAID’s bloated $40 billion budget, questioning where the money truly goes.

Democratic lawmakers and federal employee unions have responded with outrage, filing lawsuits against DOGE and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent over alleged unauthorized access to sensitive records. Senate Democrats have demanded that Secretary of State Marco Rubio explain how DOGE was able to bypass USAID leadership and seize control so quickly.

With the agency’s website and databases offline, USAID’s future remains in limbo. There are reports that its operations may be absorbed into the State Department, eliminating its independence. As the legal battle unfolds, Trump’s efforts to dismantle Washington’s entrenched bureaucracy continue, leaving Deep State operatives scrambling to regain their footing.
