Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) scorching Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) after she announced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Vance accused both Cheney and Harris of profiting from the military conflicts they advocate, while American soldiers lose their lives.
Speaking at a Turning Point USA event hosted by Charlie Kirk, Vance attacked Cheney’s long-standing support for wars that send Americans into battle. “Liz Cheney and Kamala Harris profit when American soldiers die,” Vance said, adding that their careers have been built on advocating for endless wars that weaken the U.S.
Kirk pointed out that many of the D.C. insiders who have pushed for military involvement are now lining up behind Harris. In contrast, Vance and President Donald Trump have positioned themselves as defenders of peace and security, advocating for a strong America without unnecessary wars.
Vance also highlighted Cheney’s role in promoting U.S. military action in Afghanistan, where thousands of American soldiers were sent to fight. He argued that Cheney’s policies have led to the deaths of countless young Americans. “She’s willing to send other people’s children to die for her failed ideas,” Vance remarked.
Cheney’s endorsement of Harris came after years of criticizing Trump, particularly following the Capitol protests on January 6, 2021. Cheney has been outspoken in her belief that Trump poses a significant danger to the country, a position that led her to distance herself from the Republican Party’s current leadership.
