Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked the globe to do “preemptive strikes” on Russia as talk of a nuclear war circulates.
While doing a question and answer, controversial figure Zelensky said that NATO must “make it impossible for Russia to use nuclear weapons.”
Calls for peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia have been met with refusal from Zelensky.
“Preemptive strikes are needed so that they know what awaits them if they use nuclear weapons. Not the other way around, waiting for Russia’s nuclear strikes and then saying, ‘oh, you’ve done that, then get this,'” Zelensky said.

In 2021, President Joe Biden removed sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project. Russia has benefitted from the pipeline, which has enabled the country to sell natural gas throughout Europe. This angered Zelensky and made him insistent that sanctions needed to continue.
“Sanctions are considered to be a preventive tool because they can be applied and then lifted. If there is an invasion by Russia, do you introduce powerful sanctions after we might have already lost several territories?” Zelensky asked in a January interview. “Once you introduce sanctions, what will Russia do?”
The Ukrainian leader has also given opinions on the China-Taiwan conflict, where the communist country has threatened to invade the neighboring Asian country.
“We must not leave them behind at the mercy of another country which is more powerful in financial terms, in territorial terms, and in terms of equipment,” Zelensky said. “And therefore, if there is a way out diplomatically, we need to use the diplomatic way. But it must be a preemptive way, not the one that comes after the war has started.”
The “preemptive strikes” comments by Zelensky fueled greater panic that instead of trying to diffuse the situation, world leaders are considering starting a potential nuclear war. Biden made the situation worse by warning of an impending “Armageddon.”

Russia did not let Zelensky’s threatening comments slip by and called him a puppet.
“Everyone on the planet must realize that Zelensky, a puppet pumped with weapons, has turned into a monster whose hands could destroy the planet,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in response to Zelensky’s comments.
With no signs of peace negotiations in the works, it appears that both Zelensky and Biden want to take the road of furthering war.
