Ghislaine Maxwell Dodged Deposition To Attend Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding

Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted child trafficker, dodged her deposition related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and instead attended the wedding of Chelsea Clinton, according to documents recently unsealed.

Maxwell is now in prison for grooming and recruiting underage girls for notorious human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In 2010, Maxwell was seen in attendance as former President Bill Clinton walked his daughter down the aisle. In 2009, Maxwell was subpoenaed to testify in a case against Epstein.

In a 2016 motion, Maxwell agreed to the deposition, according to Virginia Guiffre’s lawyers. The long-time Epstein associate even scheduled a “convenient time and place” with lawyers and secured an agreement in exchange for her testimony.

“At the eleventh hour, Maxwell’s attorney informed the plaintiff’s counsel that Maxwell’s mother was very ill and that, consequently, Maxwell was leaving the country with no plans to return,” the filing stated.

Due to her situation, the deposition was later canceled. A short time later, Maxwell attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in upstate New York.

“Maxwell was photographed at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in Rhinebeck, New York, confirming the suspicion that she was indeed still in the country and willing to say anything to avoid her deposition,” the filing stated.

In 2009, Virginia Guiffre alleged that Epstein assaulted her at 15 years old. Guiffre also stated that she was “required to be exploited by Epstein’s adult male peers, including royalty, politicians, academicians.”

In a 2016 motion, a motion was also made asking to deny concealing Maxwell’s assets, as it proved she was financially tied to Epstein’s disturbing operations. The filing doesn’t mention the 2009 case, but it was filed when Guiffre sued Epstein.

Last week, more Epstein documents began to be unsealed by the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, with additional documents expected in the coming days. Former President Bill Clinton was one of the high-profile names — mentioned in the documents 73 times.

Chelsea Clinton is the only child of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton.

One victim of Epstein mentioned in her deposition, “He said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” During Clinton’s presidency, Epstein and Maxwell were photographed at The White House.

Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding Epstein in the abuse of underage girls. Epstein died in prison in August 2009 while awaiting trial, drawing nationwide speculation regarding the circumstances of his “suicide.”
