Tucker Carlson Claims Congress ‘Terrified Of Intel Agencies’

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson recently spoke with popular podcaster Joe Rogan, declaring that congressional lawmakers fear the intelligence agencies because their lifestyles provide ample opportunities for blackmail.

Since being ousted from Fox News, Carlson has joined other outlets and even launched his talk show, Tucker Carlson Network. The conservative firebrand joined Rogan on the latest episode of his Spotify podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

During the segment, Carlson stunned Rogan, telling the famed podcaster that members of Congress are controlled by intelligence agencies, adding that lawmakers are compromised over their lewd, perverted lives, subjecting them to blackmail.

“Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I’m not guessing at that, they’ve told me that, including people on the intel committee, including people who run the intel committee,” Carlson said. “Including people whose job it is to oversee and keep in line these enormous secretive agencies whose budgets we can’t even know, their ‘black budgets.’ They’re the parents; the agencies are the children,” he added.

“They’re afraid of the agencies,” Carlson continued. “That’s not compatible with democracy. Democracy is a pretty simple system, even representative democracy like ours. The people rule. They do so through elections, they express their preference through voting. They send their people to the capital city to run the government on their behalf.”

The conservative commentator’s comments come as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) faces threats from Republicans in the House Freedom Caucus for capitulating to Democrats by approving sending further aid to Ukraine. Notably, Johnson previously opposed such foreign aid.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has suggested that Johnson could be the victim of blackmail while speaking with Carlson on his show on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Mike Johnson has made a complete departure of who he is and what he stands for, to the point where people are literally asking is he being blackmailed — what is wrong with him — because he’s completely disconnected with what we want,” Greene said.
