VP Harris Pushes For Bogus Equity Agenda In Speech

Wokeness has been a thorn in America’s side for a while, spewed by the left. One of their talking points is equity. Vice President Kamala Harris’ definition of equality would make anyone see red flags.

According to a speech the vice president gave that was posted on X, her definition of equity is when “everyone ends up in the same place.” For years, Harris has tried to push her agenda of equity on Americans, which is unsettling because her definition is flawed and dangerous for several reasons.

The first thing Harris fails to realize is that everyone is not on the same level. For example, affirmative action, which she was a champion of, gave opportunities to students and employees that would set some up for failure.

Giving a minority student with a 2.5 GPA a scholarship to a university while passing on a White student with a 4.0 GPA is not only unfair to the person with the higher GPA, but also damaging to the 2.5 GPA student. This student is already set for failure because they are not prepared for the extra workload and as a result will likely drop out.

Taking something away from a well-deserving person is not equity, it’s thievery. The 4.0 student is not ending up in the “same place,” but robbed of an opportunity that could have greatly impacted their life, which is the complete opposite of equity. Taking something that was earned and giving it a less-deserving person is anything but fair.

One of the areas that Harris has mentioned on several occasions is gender pay. While many agree that women and men should get paid the same, the debate comes when discussing careers.

Harris has stated that men get paid more than women. While this is ture, what she fails to realize is that men typically make more because they work in industries that pay more, while women usually work in industries that pay less.

“Men and women won’t sort themselves into the same categories if you leave them to do it of their own accord,” said clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson.

“Those are ineradicable differences … if you leave men and women to make their own choices you will not get equal outcomes.”

The research backs up Peterson’s statement. Men tend to dominate scientific fields, while women tend to dominate fields such as education. According to the U.S. Census, women are drastically underrepresented in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) workforce at 27%. As Peterson said, men and women are different and that’s okay.

What Harris is describing is not equity, but Communism, which has been proven a failure in world history. X user Lilly Tang Williams shared her experience of living in Communist China.

The thought of equity might sound appealing to some at first, but it’s heavily flawed. Equity allows for everyone to reach the same outcome, even though some didn’t work hard enough to get there. In other words, Harris wants individuals who haven’t worked for or earned an opportunity to be rewarded, while someone else did all of the hard work to earn the same opportunity.
