Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Disagrees With Harrison Butker Commencement Speech

The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves navigating the aftermath of kicker Harrison Butker’s contentious commencement speech at Benedictine College earlier this month. Butker’s views on LGBTQ+ issues, women’s roles and other topics have drawn both criticism and support.

Star tight end Travis Kelce addressed the controversy on his podcast, emphasizing that while he disagrees with nearly all of Butker’s opinions, he still values him as a teammate.

“He’s treated friends and family that I’ve introduced to him with nothing but respect and kindness and that’s how he treats everyone,” Kelce said.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes echoed Kelce’s sentiments, telling reporters, “We’re not always going to agree, and there are certain things he said that I don’t necessarily agree with. But I know the person he is and he’s doing what he can to lead people in the right direction.”

Coach Andy Reid believes the team’s diverse backgrounds contribute to mutual respect, stating, “We’re from some different areas. Different religions. Different races. But we get along. We all respect each others’ opinions, and not necessarily do we go by those, but we respect everyone to have a voice.”

The NFL and its established has distanced itself from Butker’s comments, as it has continued to promote leftist ideologies and stand against traditional ideas of masculinity — and sanity.
