Former President Donald Trump drew an enthusiastic roar from a crowd of supporters Saturday when he pledged to appoint a “real special prosecutor to investigate every detail of the Biden family of corruption.”
The 2024 Republican frontrunner addressed an overflow throng at his Save America Rally in Pickens, South Carolina. He called the alleged deeds of the Bidens “incredible” to a loud cheer of approval.
For the record, One America News reported that there may have been up to 75,000 people at the rally. Lines were reportedly packed at 5:30 a.m., nearly eight hours before the former president was scheduled to speak.
Trump said he does not prefer this type of rhetoric but changed his mind after being hounded by Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) over the classified documents case.
Now, he declared, the “gloves are off.”
Trump added that what the Biden family has done is “so terrible, so I’ll speak differently than I would have three weeks ago, because you’ve never heard me use this kind of language.” He added that “these people are sick.”

The candidate first made a similar pledge on his Truth Social platform three weeks ago in the aftermath of the Biden administration’s 37-count indictment against him.
Incredibly, mainstream media outlet The Hill called it a “brazen pledge to use the levers of government to target political rivals.” As if the Biden administration and its allies have not done so since Trump took office in 2017.
Trump referenced revelations that presidential son Hunter Biden messaged Chinese Communist Party-linked business associate Henry Zhao using WhatsApp in 2017. Hunter insisted that a commitment be “fulfilled” in the message that his attorney admitted was authentic.
The younger Biden even used the veiled threat of his father, now-President Joe Biden, sitting next to him.
A 2020 Senate report showed that a bank account linked to Hunter Biden received a $5.1 million deposit from Zhao within 10 days.
Trump told his Saturday audience that Biden is being protected by his DOJ and the compliant mainstream media. Federal agencies such as the DOJ, he said, are “weaponized to a degree we have never ever seen before,” and the crime involved is “100 times bigger than Watergate.”
