White House Calls Peter Doocy After Biden Snapped At Him

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy has revealed that he received a phone call from the White House attempting to do damage control almost immediately after President Joe Biden snapped at him on Wednesday.

Biden made an appearance in New Mexico on Wednesday while traveling to promote “Bidenomics” and climate change provisions from the controversial Inflation Reduction Act. While speaking with reporters, the president was confronted by Doocy over recent reports about his interactions with his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates.

While the president has repeatedly insisted that he never even spoke with his son about his foreign business dealings, testimony from Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner Devon Archer has revealed that then-Vice President Joe Biden spoke to his son’s business associates via speakerphone on at least 20 phone calls.

Doocy asked the president about Archer’s testimony — prompting Biden to snap at him, claiming that it was a “lousy” question while attempting to walk away.

“What makes it a lousy question?” the Fox News reporter pressed.

“Because it’s not true,” the president claimed before fleeing.

However, that was not the end of the incident for Doocy — as he later revealed that the White House called him almost immediately after the interaction to try to answer the question that Biden refused to respond to.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley has reported on the phone call — noting the potential pitfalls of the White House’s attempts to do damage control by having staff members cover for Biden.

“Doocy said that the White House called him as soon as he made it to his car to refute the specifics of the allegations on discussing business. The use of White House staff to repeat these positions could magnify the problems for Biden,” Turley wrote in his column.

The law professor went on to argue that Biden’s blatant lies about his involvement in his son’s business dealings could prove dangerous for him if Department of Justice (DOJ) Special Counsel Jack Smith continues to target former President Donald Trump for supposed lies.

According to Turley, if Trump could be prosecuted for “knowingly lying” about whether or not he had won the 2020 presidential election, Biden could face impeachment for “knowingly lying” about his son’s foreign business dealings.
