Free-speech champion Elon Musk revealed that he has survived two assassination attempts in the last six months, according to information he shared during an interview with Dr. Gad Saad, a professor at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in Montreal.
“I have had two cases in the last six months where two people, unfortunately very mentally ill, came to try to kill me in Austin with guns,” Musk said.
He further elaborated that although it is rare for him to get death threats, the individuals involved in the cases mentioned were compelled by their mentally ill delusions.
“One guy thought I’d put a chip in his head, like a Neuralink chip or something. And I’m like, you got to consider the logic of that. Well, the chip is obviously not working. So, or would he like an upgrade? Maybe a software update or something? ” Musk joked.
“They’re basically just extreme schizophrenic, and another guy, he’s actually reasonably okay when he’s on his meds. But he stopped taking his meds, and then it’s just total detachment from reality,” he added.
Although the technology and space billionaire has private security with him wherever he goes, he acknowledged that it is difficult to be in public without being recognized and have people create a clamor around him.
With the takeover of Twitter, Musk has completely transformed the social media platform from a censorship-heavy beacon for leftists to a free-speech haven. Since taking ownership, Musk has unbanned several prominent and controversial member accounts and has openly criticized Democrats for their immigration policies, the war in Ukraine and other leftist narratives, bringing him into direct confrontation with the mainstream media complex.
Thank you Elon Musk for standing up for our right to Free Speech. You make us stronger in our fight to preserve it. https://t.co/0AWSlqQXSH

This has raised the ire of leftists everywhere, and although Musk is a technological visionary doing historic things for the space industry and elsewhere, he has become a hated political target of the left.
That the events both happened in Austin is a point of interest, since Austin has come to be known as a haven for far-left activists and Marxist groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
Although the assassination attempts have just now come to light, Musk has long been aware of the danger he faces as a powerful public figure fighting against the status quo.
Considering that Musk has become such a lightning rod for controversy, it would be wise for him to continue to exercise great caution when appearing in public.
