A recent survey conducted by Harvard CAPS / Harris poll shows that over half of the registered voters believe the President had some sort of involvement in the business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden. The results arrive in the midst of a House Republican impeachment inquiry on allegations that President Joe Biden abused his office for personal gain.

As revealed in a survey published Monday, 60% of voters think that President Biden had to play a role in his son’s business endeavors while 40% hold the opinion that he did not. This poll, which involved 2,851 registered U.S. voters between Nov. 15-16, showed extreme partisan lines that are the trademark of the current partisan politics in the U.S.
A large portion of Democrats, 39%, agree that the President had something to do with his son’s business, compared to 81% of Republicans and 59% of Independents. On the other hand, 61% of Democrats claim that President Biden did not involve himself in his son’s businesses as compared to 19% of Republicans and 41% of Independents who support similar viewpoints.
Public attention has intensified due to the ongoing impeachment inquiry initiated in September.
Kevin McCarthy, the former House Speaker, also justified the investigation, saying that “simply, Americans should know that public offices are not for sale and that the federal government was not used to cover up actions of the politically connected family.”
“Now we’re doing the subpoenas to pull the bank statements,” he continued, giving an idea of what was yet to come in the investigation. The investigations are being led by Rep. James Comer (R-KY ) Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), who have all accused the Justice Department of an obstruction in the probe of the first family.
They say that they have proof that the President’s family got at least fifteen million dollars from foreign entities. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has undertaken its steps by issuing subpoenas such as for Hunter Biden, President Biden’s brother, and his business associate, Rob Walker earlier this month.
Concerning the ongoing investigation into the Biden family, this recent poll highlights the fact that a large majority of Americans know President Biden had his hand in the cookie jar of his son’s unethical business dealings.
