Massie To Co-Moderate FreedomFest Debate; Biden And Trump Absent

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) will co-moderate a presidential debate at the upcoming FreedomFest conference in Las Vegas. Despite invitations, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have not confirmed their participation. Confirmed participants include Chase Oliver from the Libertarian Party, Jill Stein from the Green Party, and Randall Terry from the Constitution Party.

Massie expressed his enthusiasm for the event on social media, stating, “I look forward to moderating the Free & Equal Presidential Debate @TheFreedomFest on July 12 from 5 PM to 7 PM PDT at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.” He will co-moderate the debate alongside Christina Tobin, founder and chair of the Free & Equal Elections Foundation. Tobin also shared her excitement, calling it “a dream come true to co-moderate… w/Congressional Powerhouse @MassieforKY.”

The debate will use a cumulative format designed to ensure fair and comprehensive discussions on pressing issues. This format allows each candidate to effectively communicate their viewpoints to the public. Other invited candidates include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West. This event aims to open dialogue and reflect the growing interest in alternatives to the traditional two-party system.

FreedomFest attendees can register for a day pass or a full conference pass on the FreedomFest website. Those unable to attend in person can watch the event livestreamed on Rumble. This debate highlights the importance of open discussions in the electoral process, providing voters with a broader understanding of their options.
